Good afternoon I have done a climate control conversion, everything works but my ac doesn't kick in the fan doesn't even work? Anyone know why?

Cheers

Yeah, it was done wrong. ba boom tish.
I assume the fan was working prior?

Have you fitted the air-mix motor?

There are a few reasons that you have the issue

To start with, can you advise exactly what parts from what models you have fitted as the system changed in the TH series onwards

So I have a TF sport with working manual AC, Now I have taken from a 1999 KH verada EI, the bem, ecu, climate control head unit, all motors and all the wiring from the verada, I mean all wiring, dash loom, both looms from enigine bay, power window looms, every length of wire from the verada is now swapped into my TF.

Does that help?

VLAD YES, the heater works also.

Ok, the aircon itself, there would have been 2 yellow wires that needed to be spliced into the new loom coming out of the AIrcon evap box, these are required for the aircon itself to click on (provided you have gas) In the TF there would have been a box attached to the wires, this gets cut off and spliced in

The fan, can only be one of a few things, check the plug into the base of the fan, check the fan speed controller (located under the aircon evap box, has a 4 pin plug) if this is buggered the fan will be silent. The only other thing may be the control unit in the dash has a bent pin

These are about the only things that will prevent the fan from working. I assume all of your servos are working fine?

The first one sounds like it, I just left connected the yellow wire to a termostat thing in the AC box, thinking it was a temp gauge. Is there any special way to connect these or just splice and connect? in any order?

Hopefully this is it, thanks again. Every Question I ask you have a answer lol, My TF sports with Verada interior is thanks to you Mal lol

Cheers

The wires can go either way but will not stop the fan, only the ac comp kicking in

The fan issue will be either the fan, the controller in the ac box (did you change this btw as again the cc set up uses a different resistor set up) or the top control unit

He said that the heater works. Does this mean that the fan works when in heat mode?

The fan worked before, (is there a different in the fan or the loom wiring from TF to KH) I have done the resistor, which allows the fan speed to change, not sure which is the top control unit

The CC fan works just the fan for the AC in the engine bay doesn't but will this work when the AC comp kicks in? thats the issue sorry not the CC fan that all works just the AC does kick in and the fan in the engine bay doesnt spin

Ahh. Now we get it. Yes, if the ac comp does not kick in, the condesor fan does not.

I did not realise you meant the bay fan, in my books a heater and a cabin fan are totally different items, run off completely different systems

The aircon condensor fan only comes on when the ac comes on

Pop out your glove box, grab those 2 yellow wires, you will see a 2 pin plug in your new loom, put these into this and your ac should work provided it worked before the change and is gassed

Awesome, Cheers Guys. So i wire in the little black box from my TF into the yellow wires on the CC and the compersor will kick in and then the fan and AC will work?? There is also a black wire that has a white plasic plug that doesnt plug into anything??

If i have been driving with the AC on but the comp hasnt been kicking in will this damage my comp or pump??

Worked before and Gassed 6 months ago and no leaks

No damage will be done, the 2 yellow wires from memory come out of the aircon box and to into the black box, cut these

there will be in that area a plug with 2 wires, can not remember the colour of the wires but are only 2 wires and will be in that area and go into the main loom

From memory the two yellow wires went into the AC box and in the box there is a black probe thing attacted to the grill. do I just cut this or do I splice into this and have them lead to the two wire plug from the main loom??

at the other end of the yellow wires there is also a black box that then plugs into the std system, from memory this is attached to the top of the aircon box, you need to keep the probe inside the aircon box and cut the yellow wires into your new loom. I do this all the time but have not really taken notice of the colour of the wires lol

Ohh I see that the control box thing on top we are talking, So no need to have the TF box thing like the before, just cut the yellow wires, one end with the probe other into the loom?
