View Full Version : Problems playing music with iPhone 3GS
hey all, just recently i've updated my 3GS's OS to the latest one (i think iOS4 or something..??) and now i can't change tracks properly when my phone is plugged into my headunit. this never happened with the previous OS and i was wondering if anyone had a problem like this or similar?
what happens is it'll charge and then find the iphone then play the mp3; but once the song ends and it changes track the h/u will disconnect the iphone, reconnect then start playing again or it'll come up with an error. the h/u is a Pioneer AVH3150DVD and i use the iphone/ipod USB cable and the error code is "02-6C"

what version of os4 do you have? there was 4.0, 4.1, and 4.2. the first two have a few bugs in them, 4.2 should be good though
well i hope it's not my phone then..! i updated it on saturday so it's got the 4.0.2 version

ive got an alpine head unit and mine was doing the same thing. what you need to do is turn your iphone off then on and it should be fine. worked a treat for me
I've got the same issue hooked up to the factory headunit in the Camry. Worked fine on the 3.x.x software, ever since I put 4.x.x on it won't even register, only charges. I'm back to my iPod for tunes in the car now :( haha. Fingers crossed they'll fix this up shortly.

It the headunit is the problem as the headunit was design for apple software version what ever. Should say on the box that the head unit came in or in the manual. You need to update the software for the head unit if that possible. Or buy a whole new head unit :) Sorry guys never update apple products they are bastard as their program changes so much :)
Well I just reset my iPhone just now and tested it out, and quite honestly I don't know why I didn't think of resetting it in the 1st place! Seems to be working fine now...
