I just changed my door lamp bulbs for LED's. The passenger door works fine and goes out when you shut the door. The drivers side however works when the door is open but when the door is shut it stays on and flickers.

Does anyone know whats going on, or has come across this before?

Not fun while you drive. Some people have had similar problems when they replaced globes with LEDs, and blamed it on residual voltage when the car is off. LEDs are much more sensitive to this, the electrics are never fully shut down when the car is off. You could try putting a resistor in series with the LED, but just replacing the globes would be simpler.

But why would the drivers door do it and not the passenger?

have you checked if the switch at the door is not faulty?

Yeah. its fine. like i said, normal bulb is fine, LED stays on.

There could be leakage through the swicth contacts, so yeah that might your problem. I'm not sure of a solution as I haven't had this problem :)
