Hey guys ive picked up a 97 KE EI verada for 7 grand.

My mates keep ripping on me for getting ripped off... Cause my mate bought a KJ Verada EI For 6k with 130,000kms on it.

Its done 120,000kms and in perfect nic.

I was thinking of getting new rims, tinting and lowering it

But

I know a guy that would buy my car for $5.5k.
what you reckon guys? what are your thoughts?

WTF did that even say? if your going to type half assed at least try it construct it out of basic english jesus...

With Blazin here. Should of payed $6K max, although if things like paintwork are in MINT condition, that's worth the extra $ personally. That's one part of the car not easily replaced.

$5.5K will just see you in another car. There's no point. Keep the car

yep see the pic. from that, if the rest of the body looks as good as that does, I think the jury would be out on whether or not you got ripped off, personally. Looks to be in excellent condition and if the interior matches then I think you have yourself a very good car.

At the end of the day, you were obviously comfortable paying $7k for it, so you must believe it to be worth that much? I can only assume you did your research via carsales etc to determine what these are worth in your area?

Does your mates KJ Ei look as good as this?

A car is only worth what someone is willing to pay so yes it was worth $7k because it sold :)

At the end of the day, the car looks straight and clean and mate, if your happy with it and what you paid then you did not get ripped.
Tell your mates to go fornicate with a doorknob.

Mates making me think i got ripped off baaaadly, i ask them what else i coulda got with 7k... they say "eerrr dunno anything..."

Im totally cool with it now..

I'd say you certainly did not get 'ripped off' and as others have said, it looks like a good car. There will always be someone who saw one cheaper, or newer or even a better colour. Ask your mates what they paid for their rides - then tell them they got ripped off.....easy.

As above, is worth what someone iw willing to pay, you were happy with the price, the car is immaculate then it is worth it

If you are after any parts including wheels etc, i stock a large range, am also happy to give the car a good once over, i am located in Heathmont

its not that big a rip off. i mean 5 grand for a car thats got 90,000k on it isnt that cheap either if the major service hasnt been done.

Man, you're only talking a grand or so at the most - might be a large % of the price, but in actual $ terms, it's stuff all - particularly if it's as good as it looks from the photo. Better paying a grand over for a car in great condition than a grand under for a rat box.

ABSOLUTELY! I bought the car 4 and a half/5 years ago with 140ks on it. Test drove it compared to some others with considerably less Ks on it. Clear winner! Bargain for the car it was... who gives a rip about the ks... did my homework on the car, it was a company car 1 driver to and from coffs harbor to melbourne. Cars are built to drive, the more the you drive over long distance the better. Short distances, more ware and tear. Ask any mechanic. Don't let high ks fool you... i can guarantee this VR-X runs better than some of the cars here with less than 120ks on em. Drive it and you'll be surprised. I'm not Bull&%@( because its my car either... I'm dead set serious!

Look at it this way... if you want a manual... sell the auto gearbox for 300-500 or so get Mal to do a conversion for you... you still win! In the end, put these two cars together drive them and the VR-X will come out tops.
