Just a quick query to see if the seats (either front or rear will directly bolt in to a 3rd Gen if any is able to shed some light on this for me.
Thanks in advance.

will they fit? yes they will but not straight in. front seats need extension tabs welded to the front of the rails to 'widen' them to suit the floor pins. Rear seat won't 'lock in' properly on the back, doesn't line up on the parcel shelf and the rear base doesn't bolt straight on either, though this can be overcome :)
Also to make it legal, they have to be engineered, not really worth the effort given they don't look factory and there is no way to make them look factory. Best seat upgrade would be TJ VRX or Ralliart seats. 380 seats while nice in theory and an excellent seat to sit on, just don't work in a 3rd gen.
(had them in the TH for 6 months or so)

Thanks for the reply.
I have a Ralliart but interested in another forum members sale of TMR 380 seats which look great, have the right colour scheme and are not electric so i don't have to wire them up.
Not interested in all the hassles you have outlined though. so thanks for the advice.

wiring up is a doddle, took 5 minutes to run the wires to the plug behind the ash tray (the hands free plug). My biggest gripe with it was that it was never going to look factory, there was no way to hide the tabs on the front seat rails, or mount the rear seat back in a way that looked 'right' when you opened the doors.
Fantastic seats to sit in, bolstered beautifully etc, just looked wrong.
