i removed them myself , took them local injection bloke , he charged $150 , duuno how good or bad that it. car ran a bit smoother afterwards.
the other option was the get them cleaned on-car where a chemical is run through the fuel system. that may be ok , not sure.

Pulled the 6 injectors out of my TS at 240,000 km for the first time, clean as a whistle. Why do you think they need doing? With all that nice filtered fuel going through them they will be clean anyway. Unless there are definite signs of a mechanical problem, like leakdown overnight or misfiring at low speed not caused by an ignition problem, you are best off leaving them alone. If you really need to pull them, get them tested for leakdown, spray pattern and flow rate, and replace any that are out of spec.

A good reason to get them done is if E10 or fuel from 'less reliable' outlets is used.
I reckon it should be done every 200k (provided all other services are done regularly) but people here suggest every 100k

Your choice. E10 doesn't muck up injectors. Don't pull injectors if you don't have a good reason to do so. And "someone on the internetz telling me to" isn't a good reason. You could always get a spare set from the wreckers, get them tested and swap them over, if you really must. Still waiting for the OP to tell why he thinks they need looking at though.
My TJ02 is idling rough, Ultratune, during the 75k service, suggested to clean the injectors thoroughly etc as they thought it'd be the most obvious cause of the rough idle.
I didn't have them do it.. but i think $220 or so was the price for them to be taken out and thoroughly cleaned.

Sorry guys for not replying ... been doing ither things and completely forgot I actually asked this question. Really was for a mate.
I think it's because he's got 200,000km's on it or so. Anyhoo he hasn't had to do any mechanical repairs over the 4 years or so he's owned it so it's time he spent some money anyway.
