Gday all, I have an issue with the front doors, primarily the front left that i need to rectify.

The power mirror has almost fallen off and when i removed the plastic on the inside to expose the bolts to remove the mirror I found a chunky wad of rust.

The mirror is olnly holding on by the paint I think lol so I need to repair or hopefully replace if possible. I havent been able to remove the doortrim to look in there but Im thinking that it is just a guide rail that I should be able to get at my local wreckers.

Anyone got a piccie?? I looked in the manual but it only shows the window regulator and nothing for the window glass guide rails.

yeah I was going to do that but I just wanted to know if it was a replaceable guide rail (like on the rear doors) or if that bit where the mirror bolts up is a part of the actual door.

On most cars I have worked on they have been removable but I havent done a magna before lol

There are some wreckers in SW Brissy that regularly do "$50 all you can carry" days (usually public holidays), and their normal pricing is pretty good now, I think they just want to get rid of most of the stuff. Try giving the "ABC" chain of wreckers a call, Wacol's always cheap, dunno about Oxley or the west-Ipswich (area) one. Plenty of 2nd gens of assorted colours.
