Looking at changing the bulbs in my paras to HID gas discharge globes. On the H1 bulbs you have the adaptor that plugs into the bulbs.how will with work with the HID's?

would the bulbs fit and not needing the adaptors.

Oh, my bad, I thought you meant ballasts when you said adapters. I have a set of HIDs in my paras but I have no idea what I'm looking for (I didn't install them), I can take a photo of the back of the bulb assembly if that helps?

Turns out getting a photo in a cramped area in a poorly lit area at night is harder than it looks :P If you don't get an answer I might have another stab at it tomorrow.

you dont need the adapters......you wire the hid power wire straight into the plug that comes off the globe....what you have to do(well i did ) is to cut two small piece's of rubber so the bracket/spring thing will hold the new hid globe in,as ,without the adapter, the spring sits too high,if you get my drift, could try bending it,but ,rubber worked best for me

Thread cleaned up. Forums which are marked 'No Spam' are exactly that - no spam is allowed.

If the OP had asked us what we thought about HIDs and where he could purchase them from, then posts about their effectiveness and where to buy them from would obviously be appreciated. However, the OP has only asked us a simple question about the actual installation of HIDs. Any other remarks about HIDs - particularly people who are basically posting 'yes, I own HIDs too' - isn't relevant.

Carry on!
