It's a long shot...but...
Has anyone here pulled apart the AWD transmission?
I need to know if the differential fits in a stock FWD transmission with no modification.
Also whether the crown wheel and shafts are removed as one piece.

I know the diff centre is totally different mate as the drive shaft actually goes right through the inside of the diff into the transfer case
I gether you are after a bung FWD 5sp auto perhaps, if so I have one here you can have for $150, it is still a runner but was very flary despite being flushed so would say while internally is ok the box does need a rebuild

Thanks for the reply.
I can see the diff shafts are dual and nested whithin each other.
Was curious to see if just the shaft could be transplanted into a stock diff, and therefore mate with the transfer assembly that way.
I already have a complete diff for the job, but dont want to have to buy the entire diff out of the wreck.
they are prepared to give me just the spline shafts, but need to know if thats all i will need.??
Or would I be better off with the entire diff as is?

Ok,
From what I have seen, the AWD centre is totally different in every way just by the design and how it interacts with the AWD transfer case however.....
The crownwheel and pinion "may" be able to be used, I can not see any reason why it could not be used to be honest
