Hi Guys,
would a faulty crankangle sensor, stop the motor from starting. I have a TE 3.0lt 4G6 motor.
It has fuel up to the fuel rail and there is plenty of spark at the plugs, so I supected the injectors, but a friend said it is uncommon to have a problem with injectors, bit if your crankangle sensor dies, it would prevent the motor from starting.
Regards
Rob

Yes if its not doing its job then engine wont start. After all its telling the fuel and spark when to go..

If you have spark at the plugs then it is most likely that the Crank Angle sensor is OK.

Most likely that you have an immobiliser issue. Immobiliser circuit stops the injectors from working.

Look first at the 2 way plug up above your right knee close to the steering column.
It is the connector between the key aerial coil and the wiring to the BEM.

There are plenty of posts on this subject.
