Hey,

I've got new speakers to install in the front doors of my TF Magna however I have hit a snag -

I can't figure out how to get the door panel off! I've unscrewed all the screws and can get all the clips around the edges out however I get stuck once I got the window winder (I don't have electric :[)

How the heck do I get it off/do I need to take it off?

Help would be appreciated because I've got speakers just sitting there waiting to be used!!

Thanks!

So you've got everything off, except the winder? Well that does indeed need to come off.

There is a clip which sits sideways between the door trim and the winder washer. The best way to get it out is to grab a flat head screw driver and a tea towel, and use that to pry the washer out enough to slide the screwdriver across to unclip. Be prepared to catch it too, they can shoot off in any direction. Getting them back on is easy though :P.

manual window winders, i to got told a trick and it works well. get a rag and slip it under the edge of the winder where it meat the door and wrap it around then pull it out and the clip shall come out too

with the door car there are to srcew one at that the front top of the door and one in the door handle under a little cover
with the clips holding the door on in the middle of the door at the bottom there i a hole between the card and the door itself start there

after all do u lift the car up and should come off

Yeah I've heard about that clip before, just wasn't sure exactly how to go about getting it off!

I have tried to pry off the winder and feel for the clip but I didn't seem to find it and felt like I was going to break the winder :S

Is it a particular side? Also, how big is the clip and is it pretty obvious how it all clips back on?

The clips are easy to lose, available from parts shops like Autobarn in packets of 6. Sometimes they are called Jesus clips, as in "Jesus, where did that go?" They can fly off and disappear. lol

Hint: When you put it all together, wind the window up without the clip on the winder, and put the winder at an angle so that it doesn't get in the way of your knee. For me, that's at the 9 o'clock position. Put the clip on the winder and push it on until it locks into place. Put all the winders in the same position, looks so much neater.

Yeah mine shot off an were never seen again...
To find it, push on the door panel gently around where the window winder is and look behind the door handle.. This should allow you to see the clip and be able to remove it.
