2 part question.
Part 1: Im after a wagon around the $6K mark, best i can get for my money. Ive looked and theres a few TJ Magna Executive wagons for around $5K-$6K, do you think i could score a TJ Advance wagon for $6K? some places are asking $8K-$9K for TJ Advance wagons, ppfftt to that i say. for that money id be after a 96-97-98 Mitsubishi Legnum which is a whole heap more car.
Part 2: is there anywhere you can get a VR-X style kit for wagons? ie, sideskirts, rear, wheel arch flares.

part 2 - No rear skirts never made - rest of kit can be used from a sedan
I'd stretch the budget to $9kish and you'll find yourself in a series 1 legnum in good nick. $6K will buy you a shitbox of a legnum.
Depends what you want out of a wagon though. TJ Wagon has alot more storage space and will get slightly better fuel economy
legnum owns it in just about every other catergory.

thats my thinking. if i can get away with getting a nice TJ magna wagon for $6K and no more, ill go with that. if its going to cost me more, ill just save a bit longer and get a leggy. why not just get the leggy in the first place you ask? the $3-4K id save getting a $6K magna wagon is still alot of money saved that could go to a house deposit etc.

You and your bloody leggies!
I know a member who got a TL wagon for around $6k. Keep searching and you'll find something.
Bodykitting a wagon will cost you a bit which could be put towards the leggy! Best bet if you want a wagon with a kit is look for a sportswagon (which uses the ground effects kit). Sourcing a GE kit is hard, expensive and the wagon rear pods are fairly hard to get!
pretty sure ive seen sports wagons and a KJ Ei Rada wagon or 2 for around the 6k mark.

For the money and overall kit you get with it how can you NOT recommend it to anyone who wants to spend a bit on a wagon?!!!

TJ Executive Wagon, series 2. 3.5 engine and tiptronic. Most are unfortunately in white. The series 2's have spoked wheel covers compared to the July 2000- May 2002 series. Advance adds climate control air conditioning, 2 airbags, power windows, more colour coding and more as standard. But Advance didn't come with Alloys.
Or spend a few extre bucks and get a TJ Sports Wagon. But they are hard to come by but have a neat looking body kit, parras and foglights with spoiler and roof racks. I love the dark blue Sports Wagons with the silver highlights on the body kit.

this is true, i've seen plenty of 'rada wagons go for the $6k mark- mind you most of them had reasonably high kms on them... the sports wagon is a different story, i found one for $7k earlier this year- but the condition was less than perfect.. actually it was absolute crap! for a decent sports wagon you'll be still looking at around $8-9k IMO
these days $6k for a magna (especially a TJ Exec) is steep
