I have a blackout cluster in my TF. It has been working fine for months now on the weekend, I noticed the speedo has stopped working?

Any suggestion what it could be?

Checked the cabling and connections from the speedo unit usually atop of the gear box to the dashboard? Most likely a loss connection.

Is there a fuse?

If its a KJ-style blackout cluster, I think speedo runs by wire - output shaft speed sensor on transmission or somesuch? I'd be looking at poor connections, moisture or corrosion.

Have a look at workshop manual thread for TH or TJ/KJ - there is probably some sort of trouble-shooting info in either electrical or transmission chapters. Worst case, it could be failure within the cluster mechanism, but poor connection or broken wire or short is more likely. If you wanna PM MadMagna, he'd have a clearer idea than most - he's the master of dash swaps, pin-outs etc .
