Hey guys,

Having done almost everything handling wise that I wanted to get done, I decided it's time to get some semi-decent sound quality.
With a budget of up to $1000, what would you recommend for front and rear speakers + amps to run them. I already have a head unit (Pioneer DEH-P7050BT), and will at a later stage be looking to add a sub + amp for that.

Timmy.

i was really impressed with the hertz entry level 6.5 splits.
170ish from autobarn
2 sets of them and some 6x9 to 6.5 spacers for the parcel shelf around $50, if you plan on puttin in subs theres not much point of gettin 6x9s unless they are top end.
just something 4chanel around 50w rms should do nicely, and well under $1000

Another option is the Jaycar Kevlar splits, 6x9s and one of the 4 channel amps. Easily under $1000 and sound very good for the price.

I wouldn't worry about rears if you are getting a sub unless you take a lot of passengers...

For higher level splits... Morel, Hertz, Boston, Vibe etcetc the list goes on...

I just picked up some Type-Rs.. one thing I realised very quickly despite quality is how different the various speakers can sound. I listened to some Pioneer ones and they were very mid-range where as the type-rs had a lot of high-range... so I would recommend trying some out on the demo board @ a local store with the music you like.

also recommand you go have a listen mate, everyones ear is different and actually burning a disc and walking into a shop is the best way, most autobarn stores are happy to let you run with your own disc and local shops will do pretty much anything these days to get the business from the big companys
