My Ecu i had in my car Sh*t itself and now iv got another 1 and want to get it remapped can any1 point me into the right direction.
Its for my TF Wagon 2.4 auto. I am in NZ and rung a guy who does remapping but not for my vehicle.
I dont mind spending my ecu over to OZ just as long as it can get done. Or if some in NZ knows who can do will be even better :)
Thanks in advance
Karl

Steve Knight Ractech is the only guys I am aware that can flash a magna ECU, however this is for the 3.0-3.5L V6 versions.. not sure if he can do a 2.4

i would only recommend Steve Knight for playing around with the factory ECU, he was part of the R&D team for these cars and he has a dyno on site :)

So its a dyno tune not a worked map

you can send him an ecu and he can reflash it with a tune according to your engine mods. You probably won't see as good a gain as when he does it whilst it on a dyno tho. When its on the dyno, he can run the car, get a/f ratios and edit the tune accordingly, where else if you send him the ecu to flash, it would be a more conservative tune :)

about $500 for the initial flash and dyno run if you go there, then if you do any more mods and like to have a retune its alot cheaper...
I can tell you now, its worth it as I had mine done, with just exhaust mods, i've got 145kw atw running on 98ron and getting about 11L/100km around the suburbs/town which is less than what i used to get before the flash, used to be about 13L/100km. In short making more power and using less fuel, although i'm using a higher grade and more expensive fuel, it all works out about even with less being used for the same distance

Jason VRX can fill you in on a bit more detail on this topic however, I believe the TJ onwards ecu is easier to tune and understand than the codes used for the earlier model ecu
