Hi all,

I have an odd question.

Basically, I have established that in the 3rd Gen Export cars, there is an ashtray located in the lower door trim. This is not in the Aussie cars. The parts are exactly the same as the rear door ashtrays in the first gens.

So my question is, which model can I get them from with colours being the light grey and tan. Or are they not coloured like that at all.

Since I don't know, perhaps you guys can save me some time seaching carsales and such looking at interior colours.

My interior is the light grey pictured.

Thanks for any help. It would be greatly appreciated.

are you looking for door cards?
made of just macenite covered with carpet and Vinyl

dont know how the parts for a first gen could be the same as a third gen

totally differnt door and interior shape

the first gens at a guess have a tan/ blue/grey and a beige trim in TN and TP
the TM had a red scheme

switches are grey in the elites

the member carcyle might know for sure

i dont recall any ash tray being that colour in a first gen, i threw out 10 of the blue ones last week from a few cars that i had, your best bet would be grab some from the wreckers and paint em

Thanks for the replies.

For Magna Buff, Im not swapping the trims haha. But the rear doo mounted ashtrays are indeed the same in both series. Just located differently on the trim. My car has a cutout in the trim for one ready to go, just its covered by the lower door carpet.

So this means I will be painting the ash trays. probably black to match the carpet anyway. Its not a massive urgent thing, But since I have the cutouts ready to go, Why not put one in.

Cheers for the help all guys,

Mike
