I have a interesting problem tonight. Backed car out of Garage, put parking lights on, all good. Stopped engine turned lights of while waiting for the Mrs. Started up lights fully on, no instrument cluster lights???? Ok thought fuse, got to where we where going, no parker lights, no fog lights (and the fog light indicator on the dash doesn't light up either, but the cruise does) Only full head lights and high beam (oh and blinkers still work).
What would cause this all of a sudden??
Next Dilemma car runs out of the "5 year" warranty on the 10th of October, should I try and claim this under warranty if it is not something simple??
Thanks,

UPDATE: located blown 10 A fuse, replaced, boom gone again. (this fuse seems to be for instument lights, parker lights and fog lights). So looks like I have a wiring problem?? Anyone had a similsr experience?

I wonder if Madmagna has the parts from the 2 recently wrecked TL/W VR-X's??:pleasesign:

Update,
Saw Mr Mitsubisihi yesterday, they diagonsed a possible faulty switch and / or more likely a loose fuse box leading to a cracked connector. They replaced the switch and connector all under warranty!!! (5 year warranty runs out on the 10/10/10) Gotta love the 5 year warranty

New Update.........

Now the indicators are not working, nor the hazard lights. Has this happened to anyone??? Wife is taking the car to Mitsub in the country, who are getting their auto electrcian to look at it tomorrow. Warranty runs out on Sunday.

Now the power windows aren't working..........

Any ideas?? (besides a fuse??)

Thanks,

UPDATE:
Car went back to Mitsubishi twice while still under warranty........ Both times they "fixed the problem". Now out of Warranty and they don't even want to know me, (surprised?). I had the car in for rego on Friday just gone, and parkers are not working again, mechanic spend a few hours trying to isolate problem. There was a short happening somewhere. Took it to a auto electrician he just spent over a hour trying to find the problem. Problem was located as a exposed wire to the hazard light switch. replaced wire, and taped it no more blowing fuses and the parkers work. He thinks when it was de-comissioned by the previous owners (Police) they where a little careless in putting everything back, and over the 3 years I have had the car the wire was rubbing against a metal frame ever so gradually, leading to the short.

Now just waiting on the new front rotors and QFM pads from MadMagna and car will pass rego!!!
