just a quick question, with the boss kits for steering wheels, do u need a certain type for different models? Or would it be the same for the whole magna range?

in other words, would a boss kit for another model magna fit on a tr

thanks

Nah just go to a joint like Supercheap Auto or something and tell them you want a bosskit and your car model and they will tell you what one to get. I have one on my TR and the wheel looks and feels better but its crap in only one sense. The indicator doesnt flick off automatically after you go around the corner. Some aftermarket bosskits have this problem, but I live with it, I like it better than the stock one so yeah. As far as I know they are pretty much model based and you probably cant chop and change between models. TR's and TS's are so similar that it might work but just ask someone at a store like I said and they will be able to tell you the model of boss kit so you can see if the models of boss kits vary between car models for yourself that way.

Not all. Apparently it's quite common with aftermarket ones tho. You might get it so that it stays on after turning left for example and switches off prematurely when turning tight. This is what mine is like and I have tried re-adjusting the wheel 3 times and it worked fine for about a day then went back to ticking off prematurely and staying on for to long depending on which way I am turning.

I had a autotechnica boss kit from Supercheap auto's on my Verada (CODE: MITSUBISHI 951) and it worked perfectly in every way ie. turning, movement and indictors... except that i couldnt use the cruise control or my horn, coz the verada has some other type of adaptors, dunno how to explain it... but the autotechnica ones should work perfectly... (so in other words my boss kit was made for a magna as they didnt make them for the verada due to the cruise n stuff, so Gerard i say yes, all the 2nd gen shape magna/verada will use the same boss kit)

Get the indicater stalk cluster from an exec and this will give you back your horn. Get the ts one with srs and the cruise is on the side under the indicator.
