anyone know what i might be looking at for a 2.6 litre astron engine fitted ( just a replacement for the stocker) just weighing up options is all :D

I got a quick quote to rebuild my engine 3 grand lol I don't think they want my business :) That was a drive in and drive out job, so they would do the whole lot :)

That would be complete recon engine, price sounds about right. Half of that is for labour.

I asked about 2.6 heads at a wrecker where they sell the engines by the crate full to another country, they said they dont take them apart usually, but I could have a whole 2.6 for $250.

saw one the other day for 300 dollars, i think at the big car yard place (can remember what that place is called, but its HUGE, like an american car yard) they can install a new one for you as they actually make new engines there as well as being a car stockyard. pretty spiffy place, saw it on tv once. about 800 dollars i think
