Finally need to change one of my Bosch Aerotwin wipers (must have had a stone or grit under it, the rubber itself is damaged). Imagine my surprise going to Autobarn to be told "nope, they were never made for Mitsubishi cars" - and the Trico book they have confirms what the guy said.

So: what am I looking for? I have the genuine article on there now and I know they aren't around any more. Is there an equivalent Trico? Or is it a case of try somewhere apart from Autobarn and Supercheap (who I know definitely don't have them anymore).

Lastly; what was the part number for the passenger side Aerotwin? I've tried searching, can find anything even though I know it's there...

Regards, Tony

AFAICT no-one in Oz stocks the Bosch Aerotwin anymore.

A few months ago SCA dumped the Aerotwin and replaced it with the Tridon Flexiblade.
Almost identical design to the Aerotwin and apparently works just as as well. Not cheap though, around $50 to $60 a pop for both left & right blades to fit a 3rd gen.

When SCA dumped Bosch wiper blades including the Aerotwin they had a run out sale on a large range of wiper blades. Many of us on these forums snapped up Aerotwins at $6 a side, and they sold out in a few days. There's a thread about it somewhere but effed if I can find it!

I managed to snaffle just about the last set in SA to fit a 380, except I was dudded with the passenger side blade. It was mis-packaged as the right size for a 380 but it turned out to be the wrong size (too long).

Not to worry, a few months later the GF complained about her crappy wiper blades (2000 Ford Laser, really a Mazda 323/Protege in disguise), so I fitted my bargain Aerotwin spares to her car. Passenger side was a little long but it just fitted, and ever since the GF has been raving about how good these blades are.

If and when my Aerotwins ever wear out or are damaged I'll replace them with Tridon Flexiblades.

FYI, Repco now have their own brand of aero-twin style blades and they are pretty good. Although it looks like there is a very small part missing to cover the arm at one point, they perform brilliantly.
