Theres some crackling coming from the front speakers and the drivers side tweeter cuts in and out in my KH, I'm wondering how these would go with the stock head unit?

Im up for making a new baffle for the doors when I put them in, but ideally would like to re-use the same mounts for the tweeters without having to modify them. Ive put speakers, amps, and subs in cars before, but never splits.

I helped my cousin wire a new head unit into a TL/TW the other day, I think it had the 8 speaker system, but only wires for front L/R and rear L/R?

Are there factory crossovers mounted somewhere? Should I replace them if I get splits or leave as is?

Open to other suggestions, but buying things over the net is difficult for me, and there is a Jaycar just around the corner from work.

The factory ones use inline crossovers. So only 1 cable goes through each door.

Its easy if you decide to place your crossovers in the doors so you dont have to put a new cable through the door.
I'd suggest getting 6.5 or larger drivers.
I think the original baffle only fits 6-6.5, but dont quote me on this
I've got 7'inches in mine, the main problem is magnet depth.

These ones are 6.5s. Is there much chance of water getting on the crossover if it leaks past the window when it rains? Do i wrap it in glad wrap or will that make it overheat?

Thanks for the plug 95ts.

Yes and we also have the FLI Comp6 which is the smaller brother of the 8inch version.

Has a higher sensitivity then the above Vifa speakers which is what you need if you are only running them off a headunit.

They will get very loud however, being able to soak up 60-90WRMS with ease. They are also very well priced at under $130.

Does anyone know if the tweeters for Fli Comp 6's will fit in the standard covers by the mirrors?
