where abouts are you from? if you need technical help, MadMagna or Mal (http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/member.php?u=18) is your best bet. If your local and in Vic, he might be able to get you over when he is free to have a look, that is if you can get it to him but hit him up and see what you can organise

2.6 I would assume, as the 3.0 is so easy even a child could do it lol

You need to get the front up on axle stands, so you can crawl under the car. The starter can be unbolted from the top, but the intake manifold support stay gets in the way when you want to move the starter motor out. Undo the bottom bolt on the stay, then use a flexible drive to remove ONE of the top bolts. You can then swing the support out of the way, and bring the starter out. Undo the wiring, get the starter out of the way, put the new one in, attach wiring, put new starter in, and bolt up. Swing the support back into place and put the bottom bolt in. Try to get the top support bolt back in if you can, I couldn't get that done. Seems to be ok with just one bolt.

After I posted this the starter motor on mine gave out, so I will be doing this job myself. Just as well I have a spare. lol
