i was told my mal when he put mine on the other day, that exeedy did it especially so it doesn't make a HD clutch. what brand is it?

Exedy

as long as it says HD on the box the colour wont matter :) pink or not wont make it HD, it does make it cool tho ;)

This information may not help much, but anyway . . . .

A HD clutch will have a stronger diaphragm spring in it. This will show up in the number, thickness and width of the spring fingers in a clutch cover. Maybe you can do some comparisons between the old and new pressure plates? (Assuming you are taking an old clutch out and putting a new one in)

A random clutch pic to show the fingers I'm on about.

TBH it is not poss to look at the fingers and tell if it is HD or not with these clutches

So far every one I have had has had the pink cover, what did you pay for the kit, this may give an idea of if it is. It would be easy to get a std clutch and put into a HD box, then again the plate I think has a part number on it so Exedy should be able to tell if it is HD or not

Can also depend on how long it has been sitting on the shelf as well, I know that some of the ones I was getting a while ago were not painted covers, AFAIK the current ones ALL have painted covers but not sure if it is older stock if this will be the case

I've already rung them up as my cover was not pink either. This was a few years back, they said sometimes plainly they dont get time to paint them or some crap but can be rest assured they are HD.

Should have brought it from me, would have been cheaper again and also checked before being sent to make 100% sure was the correct HD set up lol

If this is fairly new stock then my money is on it not being a HD clutch

:( I'm hoping it's a hd otherwise I won't be happy and exedy will be hearing about it
Also I didn't find out you sold them untill I actually got the clutch in my hands which I was a bit pissed about, I would of bought from you without hesitation if I knew
