Hi, got a few things not working on my TJ, but the only thing that has occurred since i got it 2 years ago is the fuel guage. When i fill it up the guage goes to full, and stays right for a bout 50km's, then it just goes to Empty and the light comes on. I've been told it's the fuel sender unit, but don't know how much it would cost to get fixed. Any help would be appreciated

im not sure on how much a new fuel sender costs, you could pick one up from the wreckers and try your luck or contact Mal (http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/member.php?u=18) to see if he has one from the wrecks he has, but you can install it yourself to save money on taking it to your mechanic. Under the rear seat and below a circular removable panel :)
hope that helps mate

mine has the exact same problem. most of the time i just ignore it.
They're around $100 new from Mitsubishi and pretty easy to change. Take bottom of back seat out, take the square steel plate off, unplug the power on the sender, open the fuel filler cap (to relieve pressure).
Then (in my experience!), get some spare towels you never want to use again as you may spray a bit of fuel into the rear, pull the sender out, put the new one in and close everything up.
From memory, there's a properly written up how to in here somewhere.
