Hi ,

I park on a driveway with a very slight decline but when i reverse out in the mornings it drives like the handbrake is on and is very shuttery and rough. by the time i get to work and reverse in the car park spot it is fine, not sure if its the incline im reversing up or if the car is warm by the time i get to work.

Anyone know what this could be?

Are you letting the car warm up first? for how long? When was the last time you had the oil in the gearbox changed? it sounds like it may just be a case of needing an oil change, this will be your cheapest diagnosis, anything else will be an expensive option

It sounds its OK once warmed up so I'd try the gearbox flush first.

thanks for the reply, i think it may be the handbrake as i reefed it up yesterday to park and when i tried to drive forward it done it again, may need to check it out either way.
