Took the 250 Ninja in to get road worthied today. It failed because the yoshi pipes on it are too loud. I don't have the original pipes...
Any ideas you guys have to quieten the thing down? I've drilled the rivets out and the baffle sitting on the desk here.. I was thinking that I could weld some washers inside of it to restrict air flow or just drill the holes in the baffle bigger.
Cheers.
Wrap the baffle in glass fibre, tie that in with wire and stick it all back together, job done.

Get a standard pipe to get it passed and put the noisy pipe back on later. Ring a wrecker for standard pipe.

+1 for wrapping the baffle in glass fibre. Will get you through thr RWC but will not last forever. May also decrease power when it is in there but it will get you through. Have done this a couple of times to get a RWC. Good Luck

Glass fibre or fibre glass? Same thing? We have fibreglass at work, but it's a little thick. We use to seal the exhaust clamps on the diseal locomotives. I'll try the steel wool first, I'll take a trip to crazy clarks this morning and buy a whole heap.
There's no bike wrecker in town, and the option I have atm is to swap permenatly for a shitty looking muffler. I'd rather the yoshi cause it's a brand people recongnise and it's a $600 muffler! I want to sell the damn thing when I'm done RWC it...
Has anyone looked into glass pack mufflers? Is there any paticular design rules or just wrap a perforated pipe in fiberglass matt and weld a bigger pipe around it all?

I think I misread what you said. I took all the packing out and replaced it with steel wool. You actually ment just shove it down the pipe? >.<
