Hi all ok I'll explain a little better, I was in a hurry before.
Ok I have a 1991 TR. I am in the process of replacing the insert on the passenger side engine mount.
For autos you cannot buy the full mount, you can only buy the insert, and that is aftermarket (kelpro)

So I have brought the Kelpro insert. Although it looks very different to the original insert it is the correct one for the TR.

The original mount/ insert is OFFSET. The new Kelpro mount is offset as well. When I say offset I mean the bolt hole in the centre of the insert is not central it is offset by about 30 mm.

My question is does the offset sit too the top or does it sit at the bottom???
OR does it sit slightly to one side????

The Kelpro mount comes with a piece of paper that says,,the old mount in your car is offset it may appear to be in the centre but this is because it has sagged.

So in my way of thinking I would put it at the bottom so when the weight of the motor is on it, it will be stretched too the centre, but I have a mechanic Today say the opposite..but he wasn't sure so I have not pressed it in.

Surely there is someone in this group who has replaced this insert; if that person is reading this can you please tell me which way you put the mount in???Please

I have asked 3 mechanics today and the whole 3 seemed unsure.
