Hi all
I have a 99 KH Verada with the two piece parras. Do the one piece versions that came out in the latter KJ fit the KH? Could anyone confirm and if so any modification?
Thanks

from my understanding there will e no difference. i've been told i can fit two peice parras to a TE with no modification and the one pieces fit perfectly. i'm 99% sure that headlights from te-tj and ke-kj are all transferable with no mods

The one piece are actually the ones that come out of the sports/VRX models. The KJ's still had the 2 piece paras.
The one piece are a direct fit either way. Not exactly sure about the parkers though. You should be fine either way as the veradas have the parkers in the bumper anyway

Should be lots of old threads. From memory, the answer is that they definitely fit.
Some state that front bar needs to be loosened to get one-piece lamp units in, but others say there is enough flex in the bar cover to allow the lamps to squeeze in.
There is also some mention of brackets for blinkers which are different for standard lights vs two-piece parras. For a one-piece parra this could mean that a bracket needs to come out, or might mean that its no issue at all. (I am not sure if the bracket is mounted to the car, or mounted to the side of the headlight.
If you decide to go to one piece, bear in-mind that some (me among them) could be ineterested in your two-piece lamps. I have a TJ Sports with one-piece parras (bought 2nd hand), and a KJ with two-piece parras....... I prefer the light output from the KJ (but maybe I have a dud set in the TJ).

Well all I want to do is replace a cracked drivers side headlight that happened the other day but I see one piece are more common. I have sent an email to Mal (I know he is away) to see if he has any in stock.
Could take them off my VR-X but umm no.....
Thanks for the replies

OK if you have 2 piece parras & want to fit one piece instead all you need to do is to remove brackets for indicator, very easy to do.

Do I need to loosen the bumper at all to fit them? I know on my TJ VR-X that the bumper needs to be loosened to a point to get the lights out. I know this first hand
With the aussie dollar to almost parity with the US I was thinking of getting something off US ebay if I cannot locate a one piece RH parra headlight in Aus. I see there are JDM sets that have complete chrome backgrounds
maybe you would be nice enough to send a link for jdm set :D

You dont need to loosen the bumper. I did it in my TJ. You just have to kneel on the bumper while you wedge it in. Saves a good 2 hours worth of fiddling

That's a good point, about the high Aussie Dollar - I've never bothered with chasing overseas parts, but this could be a golden opportunity........
