Just wondering - is it a bad idea to a lower a car (sports springs, 35mm lower than standard) using the factory shocks?

I know many people who have done this, but I'm not sure - the shocks would not be in their "sweet spot" lowered...?

Should definately change the dampers at the same time, especially in a TS as they would be near the end of their life by now. Would save you the labor in replacing them when you eventually kill them with the lowered springs anyway. As you are lowering the ride height you would be changing their operating range to their upper limits of travel, and substantially changing their damping characteristics.
