Hi Guys,
Just wondering how people with 2nd Gens have painted the bit where the air vents are.
What paint can i use, normal 2 pack or do i have to use proper plastic paint?
How hard is it to get that bit out?
Also, Slightly off topic but where and can you still get the chrome rings?
Cheers
Chris

Use a plastic adhesive primer first, followed by primer, and your choice of color.
personally, I'd only get it done properly i.e.2pk.
over the years I've repainted my dash so many times, with all the money i spent on primer, paint, clear, cutters, sandpaper, i could of gotten it done twice at a professionals.
Chrome rings, only 2nd hand, and very hard to come by
I actually dont have many good shots of how nice the interior is, but this as close as you'll get.
NOTHING, period, beats the shine off pk.

Just go to a spray painters and ask em how much.
Also, get all the parts "high filled" which means you will loose that grainy texture and they will be as smooth as a baby's ass.
Shouldnt pay more then $150 to get it done. But I tell you now, it's worth it. you just won't be happy with a subrate job from cans.
