Hay all

Im getting RPW race extractors im not worrying about spraying them with heat proof paint cost to much. So im gonna wrap them with exhaust wrap. I know it reduces life span but only by a couple of years and headers should last a while so i dont mind. Ive been looking on ebay and wanting to ask peoples opinions on wat to buy and how much i need.? I got a link below.

Heat wrap reduces under bonnet temperature but its really only useful for turbo applications where you want to retain heat and keep the exhaust flow as high as possible. What benefits are you expecting to get?

Reducing underbonnet heat. The ones im looking into are for exhaust manifolds.

waste of money, the gains will be unoticable to Zero, spend the money elsewhere like a high flow cat or improved flex pipe or other

Make sure you use gloves when doing the wrapping and be careful not to scratch ANYWHERE lol i made this mistake years ago when i wrapped a turbo manifold and scratched my armfit..drove me insane for days! still could of been alot worse though ;)

Is heat wrap just an expensive, thin strip version of thick woven roving fiberglass matt?
