Hi all,

2000 TJ VR-X

Just picked up a 2nd hand wing from an AMC member as I need the rear spoiler light due to mine snapping.

I've just unscrewed the light from the spoiler I just aquired, is the wiring directly attached or can I remove the light from the wiring and do a simple transplant onto my current spoiler?

I hope I don't have to rip off my current spoiler to get the replacement light in.

Cheers in advance

Use the wires on your old light to lead another wire in then use this wire to lead the wire on your new light back down

Was thinking of doing that.

However I might go for the easier option and just cut the wires going to the old light, and re-solder and heat shrink the new light onto the current wiring in the car.

I want to avoid ripping off the current spoiler so I don't have to re-seal.
