i have a 2002 vrx TJ aqnd i suspect my left hand cv joint is on its way out. started a week ago slight whirring noice when turning of course. Does anyone know how to diagnose and how easy is it to fix etc
pop into any decent suspension mob, most are happy to have a quick look for nothing, but you are in western aus and ive heard that all mechanics and auto workers down there are tight arss when it comes to pricing / checks

look at the CV joint, usally the rubber boot splits, flinging out all the grease, and causing extra ware n tear on the joint.

it is easy to change, it is 2 bolts to remove after you take the rim off. if it is wirring, chick your pws fluid first. a cv will normally clunk (makes like a click clock click clock sound) or will make a shudder. also as said check the boots
