hi all i have a 1995 mitsubishi magna 2.6liter with a new engine that came from a 93 mitsubishi magna now the problem is
check engine light comes on at idle but when you rev it , it goes out
it only happened when my dad presure washed

sounds like low oil presure to me and it picks up with more revs maybe a service or more oil
im sure someone would think different but thats just my thoughts

no if it was low oil presure the oil light will come on not the check engine light

What the the engine symbol light indicates when it comes on
1. Engine control unit
* 2. Oxygen sensor
3. Air-flow sensor
4. Intake air temperature sensor
5. Throttle position sensor
6. Engine coolant temperature sensor
7. Crank angle sensor
8. Top dead centre sensor
9. Knock sensor
10. Ignition timing adjustment signal
11. Injector
Caution: - The engine warning lamp also comes on when the terminal for ignition timing adjustment is
earthed during ignition timing adjustment.
*Note - The 0' sensor on 4 cylinder models built after February 1992 does not activate the engine
warning lamp
Search is your best friend :D If this happen after water was put into your engine bay, so I say let the engine bay dry out. Then if the engine light doesn't go away just work your way throught list and find what is damage :)
