View Full Version : Stock HU with CD Player??

I am putting my car back to stock, and its almost complete....

Just need to put the stereo in.

Is there any stock HU's that came with a cd player that will fit straight into a TE?

If so, I will put up a WTB today, otherwise I might have to buy a cheap HU and wire it up....

Dont want to sell it with a Tape player, show's its age and noone uses tape anymore. Might as well be an 8 track. :eek2:

Yeah you can i have one thinks its from a TJ, i actually got it from the clearance house, i imagine it would plug straight in

uploading now, not sure which model as i got it from the SA clearance house but at an educated guess i say from TJ.

The plug on the back and size of it is identical to the tape decks i pulled out of my TE and TH

From memory of discussions with Caine from the Mitsi Clearance place, that single CD headunit may also play MP3 cd's.

I bought one, which has been gifted into my niece's TR.
The round connector on the back of the headunit allows you to connect a CD Changer as well, but the interconnecting cable between HU and changer is hard to come by. I have an in-dash 4-CD changer on stanby to put into the niece's car, but to be honest she is a biatch, and it may never happen.
