Hey guys

Picked my self up a 93 Triton 2wd Ute on the weekend, great little Ute but no power steering, my question is it possible to fit power steering to it and if so what do i need and what other vehicle can i get it of?

cheers

Sure is possible! You'll need the rack and mounting bolts, pump, pump bracket and all bolts, resevoir, and all lines and brackets. if it's an EFI model could have a switch on the pump which basically when your using the power steering the ECU know you have extra load on the engine so it rev's up a tad but you dont "NEED" this.

Doubt you'll need the column but you might want to check.
I'd be getting it all off a triton of the same year dude.

its off the 93 carby model, so does that mean i can get all this stuff off my model triton that has power steer and it will be a straight swap over?

I don't see why they would alter the whole car if it doesn't have power steering? It's going to be your best bet anyway!

to keep it safe and legal you would need all the bits from the same type of car if possible. i would find one at a wrecker you can compare to yours. not sure but i think Tritons have a steering box , like a Pajero .
