My car has 201,000km and im ready to do the timing belt. I have purchased a brand new austral timing bekt kid with tensioners and pullies etc for $140. I'v been quoted by a mechanic near me of 350 to install the kit in my car. Car is a 97 Verada Xi 3.5.

Does this price sound alright or dodgy because from what i'v read it can be lots more??

True, but what mechanic hasnt done a timing belt on a magna?!

For my Mechanics to supply and fit my Timing Belt, they only charged me $540 which is pretty cheap. Your quote seems pretty good aswell.
