Hi all...
looking at possibly purchasing a set of TW seats from Jeromy's part out..
but before i proceed.. will they fit straight in? or will modifications be required for them to fit?
my foam is a bit dead and these have popped up as an opportunity to rescue my ass !!! :-)
thanks in advance
Quan

I successfully and without modification fitted seats from a FWD KW to an AWD TJ. Some people have had to grind the holes a little on the seats to be able to get the holes to line up.

Your seats aren't facing straight ahead then. Of you don't grind anything out you have to twist the seats to fit. Just modify them a touch so they sit facing straight

Shit... I'll have to go check. I would have noticed if they were out. Sure when you tried the rails weren't staggered? Which you would then have had to twist to get in?
Maybe you will need to remove the side airbags from the front seats - possibly also you may even need a modification plate to legally fit them. I'm currently getting a safety certificate for a VS Commodore and I have to get a mod plate as it has VT seats (no airbags)..officialdom!

The TW ones in my TE the rear mounts fitted striaght up, the front studs on the car were in a slightly different position by a few mm each
I have connected all of the sensors, pre tensioners and bags as well
From what I've read, the TE only had front airbags as an option with no mention of side airbags but I must have misread the specs.

Would the side airbags work at all???

sounds like too much hassle...
might just look for a nice set of fronts from a TH sports or VRX instead
thanks all

Given that I have used the complete wiring system from a TW in my TE they will work, the MUTII sees them and when I unplug one the SRS light comes on so the srs box is looking for them as well

Complete wiring as in? Just the wiring for the airbags and related stuff or do you really mean the ENTIRE wiring system?
Side airbags....
