im transfering all the goodies from a Sports into my old exec, im doing bit by bit so i can keep the car on the road and now ive done all the minor stuff and i got two things left, engine/gearbox and dash and main electronics.

im planning on doing the electronics first, my current set up is a 4sp auto with 3l and im going to put in 5ssp manual. will i have any issues changing over the ecu early(will it be compatible with the gearbox and engine) will i be able to set up traction control on the 3l just for now?

just wanna know what exactly will work when i swap it to avoid back tracking

PM to Madmagna would be your best bet by far - or Search threads for posts by him. He has explained what is required for ECU and loom swaps many times, has done more engine swaps than anyone I'd guess.

yeah ive talked to him casually about this i got time to burn so ill just wait till he gets on and sees this haha
