Hi Guys,
A mate of mine has recently changed his 6G72 in his TH. Problem is the car wont start when its hot, runs fine when cold, and continues to run until you turn it off.
Anyone able to shed some light into this?
Cheers
Chris

For me this turned out to be a faulty throttle position switch in my 2nd gen but thats possibly a bit obscure but thought i'd throw it out there.

Could be the starter solenoid has seized. Is there any starter motor sound when you turn the key? If not then it is definitely the solenoid. Trick is to tap it gently with a small hammer or large screw driver at the same time as someone is starting it. It is a cylindrical tube attached to the starter.

Thanks for the replies guys, the motor still spins over, just doesn't fire.

Temperature sensor, flat battery, dodgy immobiliser wiring (2 coming from the key reader/column) or Crank Angle Sensor (dizzy?).

Had the identical problem..Start cold, run no worries and would not start again until cold.Cranks no worries till the chooks all came home.Mitsubishi had it for 8 weeks and it ended up being an ECU fault..Sits over the gearbox and when a little heat ebbed through no go till cooled down..May be a faulty ECU
