Havent got a picture but have got both injectors side by side
they look the same 0 Ring to me
if possible, pop one of each off..... carefully and compare

put them in with rubber grease or if nothing else smear of vasaline

i tried finding new pintle caps and had no luck so i just ended up getting them cleaned for $25 each, the guy came out to me as well so i think that was a good price hopefully it fixes my Warm start problem

i also tried popping one of those caps off my old injectors but it snapped on me i suppose it was 19 years old

they are the same o rings. are you upgrading fuel pressure?

i was reading that i should do that but i dont really notice a difference so i assume that its all good at the current pressure

i noticed the fuel economy was worse and there wasnt really a power gain. there was also rough idle. i ended up changing back to the yellow tops. i never tried it with the fuel pressure upgrade. but if i was to put blue tops on now i would defs change the fuel pressure

g'day, how did the mod go for your car?
am thinking of doing the same myself, with an M9 head on my TP.
cheers

i think it went good apart from the fact that two of the injectors still drip but i did notice a big difference in power compared to my old injectors so i might just leave the blue tips on and eventually buy a new set, it starts very good when cold just when its warm i use the accelerator to start the car at gentle throttle

I second that, I know it's a head**** to chase problems down but.....vroom vroom or kaboom :eek2: :beer::beer::beer::beer:

ever since i had a fuel hose split in the engine bay, squirting petrol at the alternator, and the car still running (and thus pumping petrol) because it was still able to pump fuel to the carby too, on a 35 deg Celsius middle of the Summer day in a parking bay in the bush :eeek::eeek::eeek::eek2:

next time I see something not quite right in my fuel line, think I'll fix it there and then, rather than saying like I did last time :eek2: 'looks like that could split, must fix that sooner or later'

shaun,

if you still need me to get the parts ill leave the first gen injectors in for you to first set the system up with as my wrecker looks after me and wont charge any different for them weather they are left or not. of course weather they are any good will always be questionable but after 220,000 my original 22 year old ones are fine. i just cleaned the carbon and crap off the tips with throttle body cleaner when i had it apart and made it run smoother lol
