I'm the owner of a V6 TS, it is new to me (as is the AMC- great site by the way) it's has done 206K and I'm looking for a recommendation for a mechanic in the western suburbs of Melbourne (Yarraville).

It's time to get the head looked at, going through coolant at a rapid rate and the oil is just starting to get that tell tale milk coffee sign (the coolant must be steaming out the exhaust under load, there's no coolant dripping onto the ground and there is no oil in the coolant).

The timing belt has done 80K, so I guess if I do the head I should get the timing belt done as well.

Any recommendations regarding mechanics and what I might be up for? (I'm hoping it's just a gasket)

And yeah not a great start to the car / owner relationship.
