Hey guys few weeks ago was cruising into work on the freeway and the "check engine light" turned on, so went to pull over to check out what was going on but then it turned off so thought okay then, got it checked out by mechanic the next week and he checked that there were no error codes and cleared those that where there (which was none) and this morning it came on again, then off, then on, then off, then on....etc etc ahah... any ideas?

It has got to be logging a code, you might have to manually check using the OBD/CEL - info here (http://www.wermspowke.net/wiki/index.php/Engine#How_can_I_read_a_fault_code_from_the_ECU_wi thout_a_MUT-II.3F)

Only way you are going to get to the bottom of this is to do the code check while the engine is running and the problem has occured.

Some codes will clear once the engine has been turned off thus if this happens you will never get to the bottom of the issue
