I was thinking of possibly upgrading my head unit too a touch screen one, and in the process would sell my old sound system to help meet costs. I was hoping to get $300-400 for the old stuff, but am probably dreaming. Anyway, how much do you reckon all this is worth to the right person as a bundle?

* 3-Band Parametric iEQ
* Ready for iPodŽ*
* USB Memory Slot for Music File Playback (MP3/WMA)
* MP3/WMA Compatible with ID3/WMA Tag

6x9's: Pioneer TS-A6961E
* 260 Watt

* 4 impedance

4Inchers: Cadence ZC-401
*120 Watt

The head unit and 4inchers are in excellent condition, and I still have everything they came with including box/manuals/faceplate surrounds and the lot. The 6x9's have been used a fair bit in my old car, but they are still in good condition, just a bit dusty. The head unit is very very good(in my opinion) and i'd let any perspective buyers come listen it/play with it if I were to sell it. It was the top of the range JVC one at the time of purchase.

6*9's = $30 or more if you can sell them to someone who doesnt know much about audio.
Cadence = $40 Mainly because there isnt much demand for semi decent sets of 4 inch speakers.
Headunit $100 (Ebay might net you $100-$150 if your lucky) = Good for someone who is wanted 3 preouts for a budget system.

That is a fantastic HU for the money weather new or 2nd hand. 3 pre outs and the USB functionality are something only recently introduced in base model HU's.
Above price sounds about right, base model 2nd hand car audio isnt worth much unfort :(

ahh wow. that sux :( I dont think id want to sell the HU for less then $150...I understand the 6x9's arn't worth much, and had no idea about the 4inches's (although i don't think these fit in Magnas...)

Well when it comes time to buy new one, I might put the whole lot in the FS section for $250-300 and see if i get any offers...I would of thought it would be a good first set up for someone on the cheap.

Any more thoughts are welcome

the problem with 2nd hand equipment of this caliber is that it is most definitely a buyers market, if you look around, there is never a shortage of entry level head units and speakers for sale at really cheap prices.

MMmmm, the head unit had an RRP of around $650 or more from memory, so it def wasn't entry level. But the speakers could of been, i think they were $100 each....but this was all about 4 years ago...

The headunit would be entry level for someone wanted 3 pre outs these days.
