I recently bought a ISO wiring harness (the single plug for mitsubishi type) for my magna. when I got the stock unit out I could not see where to plug the harness into. If someone could point me in the right direction that would be appreciated

ISO goes into the other ISO connections of an aftermarket CD player like so

Kenwood plug -----------------ISO >< ISO --------------------magna harness >< factory loom in car

so that' why nothing works, you still need another loom (I gather?!)

Hey Corban316,

It be hiding in there (perhaps its cabled tied right at the back somewhere) its a approx 1 1/2 inch wide usually white.
You just need to follow it back from the stock headunit.

Grab a torch and have a poke around, you'll find it. Youve probably already seen this DIY on someone changing there head unit. If not then have a read (might help)

Yep, should just plug in, the plug is there somewhere, granted the headunit you removed was a factory unit the factory plug should still be there.

factory unit is still there to my knowledge however the plug that goes into the back of the factory head unit is considerably smaller then the harness I have and there is only 1 plug (which however is the type of magna to iso harness I have) and the older magna to iso wiring harnesses have 2 plugs. So there is a cable the goes into the radio and the power mirror unit that goes back up into the dash and back down to one of 3 plugs none of which seem to fit the plug I have (I have only actually tried one of them but a size comparrison by holding the plugs next to each other suggests that they won't fit.

thanks in advanced

You might got the wrong adptor by the sound of it as second gen only has a one plug :) When you remove the plug from the stock head unit the iso plug adapter plugs into that conection. The third gen iso adpater dose not fit into second gen magna audio plug :)

The magna to ISO harness I have is only one plug. Sorry if I was confusing. I will have another lookup this evening, last night when I was trying it was quite difficult as it was bucketing down with rain as well. If anyone could post a photo of what I should be plugging the magna to ISO harness into that would be greatly appreciated.

thanks
