hey guys in my TF magna is there a way i can change the down shift on it? when you go down a hill and only slightly braking the gear box chops down gear and when it doesnt need to and puts you back in the seat?or do i just have to deal with it?
thanks guys
It is designed to do it to aid in braking using engine braking. Likewise when going uphill it can prevent upchange upon throttle lift off to keep it in the torque range.

I love engine braking, in my other autos I tend to do it manually but love the INVECS!! :D

My old TE did this. My TJ dosen't. I have to use - and + for engine braking.

My TH changes down automatically as well and in auto mode it does a pretty good job. I gather that it is all to do with road speed and rpm and the 'correct' gear is chosen automatically (funny on an automatic gearbox).
However, when i'm in manual mode i hate the way it chooses what gear i need to be in for me.
Many times i've been slowing down into a roundabout and down-changing appropriately only for the box to decide 0.1 of a second before me that i need to be in a lower gear...end result is changing from 3rd to 1st when i wanted 2nd.
Doesn't make for smooth driving and annoys the hell out of me!
