Hello all,

Just wondering if these will fit a 2nd gen TR/TS.

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/MITSUBISHI-TE-TJ-MAGNA-CORNER-LIGHT-NEW-LEFT-/170563568965?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item27b6618545

I'm disliking the stock corner indicator lights as they don't match the para's ive currently got on my TR.

Any suggestions if these wont fit?

Thanks

From the shape I dont think they do.
The top of the 3rd gen one curves nicely whereas I think the 2nd gen one curves parabolically?

Wonder if there some that are the same shape as stock ones but just different lens glass.

Ive removed the orange plastic from inside the stock ones and used orange globes. Its just that the standard ones lens dont match really.

how about 2nd gen verada corner lights? or even 1st gen diamente ones?

You can choose between orange or clear indicators :)

They definitely wont fit. 3rd gens has the leading edge sloping backwards whereas the 2nd gens has the leading edge sloping forward plus the trailing curve is entirely different.

Someone on here did mention a while ago that you can remove the orange inner cover and then fit one of those bulbs that look clear/silverish but glow orange.

3rd gen front bumper will fit, it'll look stupid but it'll fit.
and yes you have a few options
orange indicators
normal clear ones or;
normal clear ones with the orange bit smashed out and replaced with a clear flashing globe
or a diamante lights setup like both my cars.

Hey Tuffy,

Yeah i already smashed the orange bits out of the stock corner lights which made them look a little better.
The stock ones have vertical lines on the lens which dont match the para's.

I nearly nearly bourght the diamente front grille setup, incl lights etc.. but decided not to at the last minute as i have spent double the dollars just getting para's for the TR etc...

How about a bit of light tinting? Dramas from law enforcement or RTA doing this?

Hey Mate!

Yeah why not. I'll give it a try... cant hurt to at least see how far off it is if it doesnot fit. Perhaps a bit of tinkering with the guard 1/4 panels bit get them in????

let me know when your free to see if this works.

BTW Mate, I installed the Boge struts and Kings lows on the weekend.

2nd gen now nice and low and really firm, only trouble is that i found a split inner CV boot drivers side which really is *#$*

@ Tuffy , sweet thanks, just need to find some recon shafts,
i can see new shafts online (ebay) but not sure where to find decent recon shafts
I might take you up on walking me through it as i heard that it requires me to drain the transmission depending on which CV joint has busted.

@ Dingers, mate i did the install of the springs and struts myself.
Really not that hard just time consuming for the first time doing it.
(bout 4-5 hours plus 2 hours fart arsing around drinking coffee and admiring the car now its lowered and got decent struts installed) :)

Let me know when you want to do them and i can help out if needed.
