Hey, i'm new here so please forgive any etiquette breaches i might make =]

i have just finished the major parts of my sound system install (other than making it look all pretty, false floor coming soon)

The car is a 2002 TJ magna advance

System specs:
-MTX T9500 15" single -1000w rms (they seem to be able to take a fair amount more)

-JBL 14001e mono block -1500w rms (14.4v)

-JBL 3-way power series splits up front (forget model number but could find out) - ~300w rms for the set (inc tweeter and such)
-JBL 6x9 power series, p963 - 220w rms for the set
-JBL 1004 4 channel 150w RMS x4

Even after a fair amount of electrical upgrades i still get significant voltage drop:
upgrades include:

-kicker zero awg wireing was used along side their distrubution blocks to wire all the amps and the cap
-Exide Orbital battery
-4 farad cap (iv'e herd that maybe cap is useless idk yet)
-Big three upgrade with 0AWG wire replacing, negative battery to chassis ground, engine block strap, and alt positive wire.

I cant seem to find anywhere that sells high output alternators for magnas in australia??. if anyone has any ideas how to get more power from the car it would b greatly appreciated. I'm looking forward to getting it all pretty will then post pics and perhaps video if there is any interest.

Do a search for high output alternators on ebay.com for Diamante SOHC 24v 6G74. Plenty of them out there.
How many CCA is the battery and when are you getting voltage drop? Full load while running?

The battery is 750 cca
950 mca ("marine cranking amps" same thing as cca but rated at 0c instead of -18c)
and 50 amp hours

Getting a drop from 13.8-14v to about 12v ish under heavy load car running

Have you tried an Deep Cycle battery? Try one of the Optima Yellow/Blue Tops, also ensure you have decent terminals (gold plates brass will work) and upgrade the batteries ground to the alt aswell.

am using gold plated terminals already,
The battery is using the same tech as the optima yellow tops
deep cycle dry cell AGM
they are actually or were in a patent battle over it actually.

Also ground to the alt is done via the engine block as the alts casing is the negative on it which is bolted to the block.
so from what iv'e read the upgraded block ground to the frame is essentially the same thing as alt ground. correct me if thats wrong tho =]

Have you tried running the system without the cap and seeing how you go? Also are you using atleast 4gauge wire from the distro to the amps?

I was thinking of trying without the cap, as from what ive read in bass heavy music they actually become more of a burden... do u think it might help, like has anyone ever tested if caps help? or really do make it worse.

yes its 0AWG from the battery then 4 AWG to the two amps

and 4 awg earth from amps to distro and then 0 AWG earth to frame
