Hi,
Put my car together so i can't really be bothered testing it.
Anyways i've opened up my climate control unit on my TL/TW centre console. I'm going to change the 2mm leds to some thats 2 times bigger (i like it bright). It looks like the circuit board has 2 in series so i'm thinking they might NOT be 12v. Anyone done this before know exactly?
cheers.

SMD led I think are the same as an oridanry led light, you need good skill when it comes to replacing the SMD led. Hope you have a good soldering iron :) Plus you can buy brighter SMD led :) When it comes to led size means nothing :)

Yeah, looking at the circuit board it looks like theres 2 in series which leads me to believe they're 6V LEDs.
If no one knows/done it before, i'll probably have to wait till next time i take my aircon unit out and plug this one in :(
I'm not the best solderer, but the circuit board on this is very easy to solder even a noob like myself can do it.

Yeah most led only like about two volt dc, so there would more to the circuit :) Also you need to watch out for polairty on smd led or normal led as well :) Yeah you need a soldering iron that is design for the job of removing smd led or you risk damaging the circuit board.
