Hello,

I had been having troubles with one of my remotes not locking/unlocking the car, I pulled it apart and the rubber button bit was covered in a clear greasy liquid. After wiping it away from the rubber and the circuit board it now works 100%. Must have been some condensation or something.

Just thought I should share in case others were having the same issue.

I replaced the remote battery a few months ago, so no problems there but you may want to replace yours just in case

Yeah I don't know what it is, but I have fixed a few like that now. A couple I have had the pull the switches completely apart, clean in metho, re-tension the spring and put it all back together again!

. . . . a clear greasy liquid.

Has the owner been eating greasy fish and chips perhaps? lol Possibly leakage from the battery? Seriously, must have a look at mine, its acting up too.

EDIT: Just opened mine up - TJ 3 button - sure enough, clear liquid drops in it. Cleaned out, new battery. All good. lol
